The church has been serving the community for a number of years and we continue to reach out to those in need and build communities of believers who experience the life-changing message of the gospel and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. On Wednesday, January 4th 2023, it has been pleasant month for all of us here in the House of Brethren Gospel Christian Church, Ipaja. We have been travelling all around Lagos State delivering clothing, blanketing and food to the needy and less privileged children! But it is unfortunately not enough! We delivered clothing, blanketing and food to the Laggos Shelter and we were shocked to find out how many of the children there are living on the streets. We walked around distributing clothing, blanketing, food, and chatting with the kids. It was shocking! Some of the kids told us that they are lucky if they receive one meal a day. We realized and we could see the truth in that by their obviously malnourished bodies!” Your support may be vital in solving this problem and enabling the church to continue to provide a place where people can experience hope, confidence, courage, expectation, friendship and the embrace of a good God. We need your help to continue our work because every child deserves to live a good life.

The House of Brethren Gospel Christian Church supports gender-equality and adult empowerment for both young and elderly people; providing safe accommodation and support services for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. Supporting strong and sustainable men and women’s right organizations and movements, providing legal frameworks and programs for gender equality.

Supporting essential skills of empowering coastal communities’ projects, focusing on marginalized people, including young men and women, at-risk youth, and people with disabilities in the surrounding areas. Promoting and protecting human rights and democracy, equitable access to a functioning justice system, peaceful pluralism, respect for diversity, the rule of law and international law.

The House of Brethren Gospel Christian Church also focus on peace and security with a focus on conflict prevention and building peace, supporting gender responsive security threat reduction and security system reform, including addressing organized crime, human trafficking and smuggling, corruption, cyber-violence, illicit financial flows, and sexual and gender-based violence in the security system.

Education is an essential factor in the process of forming individuals and collective human state of mind in which no sustainable human development is possible. However, the promotion of the quality of education for all, with a view to promoting both internal and external efficiency of the education system remains one of the challenges facing African countries of which Nigeria is no exception. The House of Brethren Gospel Christian Church contributes to promote education and working conditions for orphans to have good all necessary school supplies that can help them to have quality education. Specifically, House of Brethren Gospel Christian Church encourage the schooling of orphaned pupils and young boys and girls by providing them school materials and to encourage them to work hard to achieve their future goals which will help them contribute to their community and national development Education is the only ladder for these rural children to climb out of poverty. This education is the key to lifting them and their families out of the vicious cycle of poverty. Every child deserves a loving family and education. Children in rural communities are equipped with all necessary school supplies in order to achieve good academic performances; – Education for young boys and girls in rural communities are promoted. Your support goes towards critical infrastructure like learning material.
Less Privileged Elders Need Care & Meal Support: The less privileged elders need our love and care. House of Brethren Gospel Christian Church provides meal, medical care and recreation to 57 homeless old age persons. Every day we provide nutritious food to destitute elder, who are neglected by their families. Such meals are easy to digest and healthy too. Their health condition of destitute elderly persons has been improved. Due to poverty some families not able to feed these older persons. Among 57 poor old age persons, some of them use to beg at neighbor houses, nearby locations to feed themselves. Our little contribution to the elderly makes their world healthy and happy We also provide clothing & blankets to the destitute elderly person.

Recently, the church has experienced some financial hardship, leaving us in dire need of help. The House of Brethren Gospel Christian Church has not been doing very well for a long time after the Covid-19 Pandemic crises. Building projects at the House of Brethren Gospel Christian Church have been stalled for some time, and we would be forever grateful if you could assist us.  Our financial instability has reached a peak, and there is a great deal of burden on our shoulders. We are writing this letter to humbly request your financial assistance with a lot of great expectations in our heart that you will help us with the House of Brethren Gospel Christian Church building projects. To make this dream a reality, we need to raise $2,000. This work is estimated to cost $2,000. To carry out the necessary work, we need $2,000, and we have already raised $185.00 through fundraising efforts. We need your help today because you possess all the characteristics of a reliable and trustworthy person: politeness, tenacity, courtesy, reliability, kindness, helpfulness, friendliness, independence, assistance, leniency, impartiality, and empathy all of which contribute to your reputation for compassion across the globe. The old sanctuary could no longer accommodate us, so we decided to build a larger sanctuary because our church’s membership has grown. You can add a 648 square meter building (1 plot of land) to the church area to teach and preach God’s grace, kindness, goodness, and mercy with your support. The House of Brethren Gospel Christian Church needs financial support to add another building to its church because currently, members do not have a conducive environment where they can fellowship and worship their God, a new building to accommodate a growing congregation. A few Sundays ago, as I sat on the lawn with our Sunday school youth group, teaching and preaching about God’s grace, kindness, goodness, and mercy.  The children were so enthusiastic, happy, and full of interest, laughing and singing. It certainly made me feel so proud of what we have accomplished in our small, little church so far in Ipaja, Lagos. It was at that time, the rain came down, and I stopped and realized how much we needed to add new building to accommodate the consistently growing number of our congregation. With your help, we can certainly accomplish this because you are a humble, fair, considerate, conscientious, courageous, intelligent, disciplined, patient, ambitious, empathetic and persistent people focused organization.
